2023 OPEN EVENTS
Pumpherston Golf Club enjoys a wide variety of open golf events ad caters to many different formats.

These competitions have attracted both individual golfers and visiting parties from the length and breadth of the country.
GENTS OPEN
This is an 18 hole stroke play competition with the lowest nett score declared the winner of The McLagen Trophy
LADIES OPEN
Greensome event played at the weekend. This is one of our busiest and extremely popular golfing events and can often be full before the golfing season is underway.
JUNIOR OPEN
This event is separated into different categories and designed to support our future golfers.
the winner is the competitor with the lowest nett score on the day and they are awarded The BP Trophy. It is open to both boys and girls with minimum restrictions. Previously this popular competition was often selected as one of the qualifying events for the Lothians' Golf Association Order of Merit.
SENIOR MIXED OPEN
This is a midweek open and played in a greensomes format. Members and visitors enjoy a relaxed game of golf and mix with couples form other golf clubs.
MIXED OPEN
This is a greensomes event played at the weekend and golfing couples compete for The BP Trophy. This is one of our busiest catering days, which support the strong social aspect of this enjoyable golf event.
SENIOR OPEN
This is an 18 hole stroke play event with separate prizes for different age categories. The competitor with the lowest nett score is the overall winner and presented with the prestigious JT Lowe Trophy. Our Seniors Open is extremely popular and can often be full before the golfing season is underway.
SENIOR 3-MAN Texas Scramble OPEN
This is a midweek open and played in a Texas Scramble format. Members and visitors enjoy a relaxed game of golf and mix with couples form other golf clubs.
